AARP is the nation’s largest nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to empowering people 50 and older to choose how they live as they age. With a nationwide presence and nearly 38 million members, AARP strengthens communities and advocates for what matters most to families: health security, financial stability and personal fulfillment.
The goal of the Inaugural Diversity and Aging in the 21st Century conference was to raise awareness for AARP’s services, while creating a captivating and memorable experience for all those in attendance.
BRAVO! was hired to design and produce the inaugural Diversity and Aging in the 21st Century Conference with the theme “Let the Dialogue Begin.”
BRAVO!’s unique approach included integrating different meeting formats to engage in dialogue that would continue after the conference ended. The conference included general sessions, panel discussions, breakout sessions and special events.
BRAVO! created an event that exceeded expectations in attendance, with a showing of over 1,500 attendees. The event was described as being provocative and powerful and has become the leading conference on diversity and aging.
Attendees included 500 experts, thought leaders, practitioners and advocates in the field of aging to discuss issues related to diversity including age, race, sexuality and disabilities.
